Ready to shift to your new home? One of the major factors that affect your health after shifting to a new home is mold growth. It can be harmful to help if it is left untreated or undetected. It is very important to get a mold inspection done before you shift your new home in order  to be safe.

Inspection is a standard practice and the safest choice in order to notice any amount of repairs that needs to be done or any treatment that is required. What is Mold?

A mold is a kind of fungus that thrives and lives on moisture-retaining areas, inside or outside your home. The spores released from the mold can easily float in the air. Although small quantities of spores are considered harmless, a long exposure to the mold spore can cause serious health damage.

  • Aspergillus – found in fabrics, attics, even walls
  • Alternaria – near ACs, windows, bathrooms
  • Penicillium – grows in basements, under carpets
  • Cladosporium – in warm and cold locations
  • Stachybotrys chartarum – high cellulose content
  • Aureobasidium – on woods and walls

The inspector discovers the leaks and issues with plumbing, including the other affected areas, ventilation, roof condition, basement condition which favours mold growth.

Molds are noticeable, and it is advisable to call a mold inspector as soon you notice one. The home inspector would advise you on the piping issue as well.
