Guide On Amazon Labels

Sellers on Amazon have to be very cautious and diligent about their selling labels. If you are an Amazon fba seller then you must know there are many amazon fba labels to choose from. We are here to provide you with information about each of these labels, and what label is the necessary one.

Types of Amazon Labels

Types of Amazon Labels

Being an Amazon seller, you know how confusing amazon terms are, especially acronyms regarding Amazon labels. We are here to tell you all about amazon-specific label acronyms.

  • ASINs

The acronym ASIN stands for Amazon Standard Identification Number. As a method of distinguishing a product in Amazon’s massive inventory, each product has its own ASIN. These are developed by Amazon; so you don’t have to worry about creating an original one yourself. The ASIN can be found in the ‘Additional Information’ section of every Amazon product description, and it’s also included in the Amazon URL.

ASINs can be used by vendors to look for products on Amazon and see if they are eligible to offer them. You can also put in the product’s name, but if you know the ASIN, you’ll get a perfect match every time. An ASIN label, unlike an FNSKU label, does not require printing. When you upload a product, you may be required to include the ASIN, however, this is primarily for Amazon’s advantage.

  • FNSKUs

The FNSKU is a sort of barcode used by Amazon to identify the products and link them to certain sellers. You will never have the identical FNSKU as another vendor; the code will be exclusive to you and the items you’re selling.

FNSKU is a code used by Amazon FBA sellers to monitor products within their internal fulfillment centers, hence they solely affect Amazon FBA merchants. You don’t have to bother about FNSKUs if you’re fulfilling orders yourself (FBM).

When you go to list a product on Amazon and it shows up in your stock, Amazon will produce FNSKU labels, which you must print and attach to the packing of all items when you do shipping to amazon FBA.

  • SKUs

People confuse the terms FNSKU and SKU, assuming they are the same. However, an SKU is a product’s unique code or simple summary for your convenience.

It’s a good way to keep track of your products, and you might wish to customize them.

For example, if you purchased a car toy from Target on December 18th, 2020 for $20, you might write your SKU as:

CarToyDec1820-TGT-20-00

If you don’t enter your own SKU, Amazon will generate one for you (it’s preferable to have an SKU structure in place that you understand because it will make tracking things in your stock a lot simpler).

Our Suggestion: FNSKU FBA Label

If you’re an Amazon FBA dealer, we recommend operating the FNSKU label on your parcel. Amazon uses FNSKU to issue your product tags. This barcode is different from your product and fulfills a special objective.

It can get confusing. Why do we have to use so many labels? It’s easy to comprehend. There’s a chance that some other seller is also offering an identical product. If you both ship your similar product parcel at the exact time using the similar UPC, there’s a likelihood they’ll end up in the same warehouse. Amazon encourages all sellers to put their unique FNSKU on the merchandise’s shipping label to prevent this confusion. This makes finding the right seller for each product easy.

Is Having an FNSKU Label Necessary?

One question that comes to the mind of a seller is whether or not an FNSKU label is required. When a product necessitates the use of an FNSKU, Amazon suggests it. When a seller doesn’t use an FNSKU label on its parcel, Amazon classifies the parcel as “commingled.” It means that your goods will be mixed in with the items of other vendors selling the same item as you.

What Is an FNSKU Label and How Do I Get One?

What Is an FNSKU Label

FNSKU amazon label is a requirement for Amazon FBA sellers. When delivering to Amazon FBA, this label is required on all of your parcels. By following these instructions you will understand how to obtain an FNSKU label:

  • On the Amazon website, launch your intended private selling product.
  • Amazon will immediately issue you a personal FNSKU label once your unique item is listed in the Amazon database.
  • From the drop-down option, choose ‘Manage FBA Inventory.’
  • Choose your item from the right-hand drop-down menu.
  • Print the product label by selecting it from the drop-down list.
  • Apply your FNSKU label to your goods before submitting them to the Amazon fulfillment center.

Conclusion

This was all about Amazon labels, and when to use them. We hope our guide helped in clearing your confusion about which label you need to sell your product on Amazon FBA.
